The Land requirement for CBSE Board Affiliation is as follows:
The school should have the following land:

  • 2 acres (8000 Sq mtrs) ( In general)
  • 1.5 acres (6000 Sq mtrs) ( In general with restriction on no. of students)
  • 1 acre (4000 Sq mtrs) – Hilly areas/capital cities/NCR/cities >15 lakh/ Panchkula (Haryana) and Mohali/ North-East/Islands/J &K

A1 Cities (Cities with population of more 15 lakhs) –

  • 4000 Sq mtrs (43055.64 sqft) – Sr Sec- 4 streams
  • 3000 sq mtrs (32291.73 sqft) – Sr Sec-2 Streams
  • 2000 Sq mtrs (21527.82 sqft) – Secondary level

Metropolitan cities/entire state of Arunachal Pradesh

  • 3200 Sq mtrs (34444.51 sqft)  – Sr Sec- 4 streams
  • 2400 sq mtrs (25833.39 sqft) – Sr Sec-2 Streams
  • 1600 Sq mtrs (17222.26 sqft) – Secondary level

The land should be in a single piece of land and no public road, railway line, stream, canal and power lines should cross through the piece of land. The plot of land should be surrounded by a single continuous pucca boundary wall on all four sides enclosing the school building and the playground.
